Access-to-Capital Initiative
Breaking financial barriers and opening doors to affordable credit for women entrepreneurs
In partnership with microfinance institutions across Nigeria, it is designed to break the barriers that keep women entrepreneurs locked out of finance. In partnership with microfinance institutions, fintechs, and cooperatives, the fund will extend affordable credit to women-led nano and microenterprises through inclusive lending models. By piloting risk-sharing mechanisms, alternative collateral systems such as group guarantees and mobile money histories, and integrating digital finance, the fund creates practical pathways for women traditionally excluded from banking. Coupled with financial literacy and business training, this initiative empowers women to grow their enterprises, increase incomes, and build long-term economic resilience, while providing a scalable model for the wider financial system.
