When my husband passed away, my world collapsed. I had no savings of my own, no income, and I suddenly became the sole provider for my children. Every day was a struggle just to put food on the table. Then, through the support of the NGO, I was introduced to a women’s savings group and received training on how to turn my small cooking skills into a business. With their help, I accessed funding to start my business, something I never imagined possible. Today, I run a thriving food stall in my community, I can pay my children’s school fees, and I no longer depend on anyone for survival. Most importantly, I have regained my dignity and confidence. This program did not just give me money, it gave me back my life.
